waipara camp
On Wednesday I woke up happy as well as
excited to go. Although only because it was camp. Also because I could just not wait to be in a 20 bed cabin. I was in there with six people including myself and them they weir
Alexa,Mailli,kymaira,Naquita,Miriam,and I.
We arrived at school and it was sunny and we
had to be there by 8:15am. We had to put all the bags in the hall ready to go. We got on the bus and then mum called the roll yep everyone here so we left. When we arrived we got off and unloaded the bags. After that we had lunch. Then after that we lined up ready for the first rotation.
We had bridge building first it so fun in fact it was one of my favourite. Our leader Hamash
took us to our next rotation archie it was so hot I thought I was going to melt like a snowman in boiling water. Keira Miriam and I weir the 3rd group up and when we went up
we had a great big laugh because no one hit the target. All of us got one bow on the target
I was the last on to use all my bows everyone
was hurrying me and. After that it was lunch
then we had raft building witch was so funny.
Next rotation was low ropes I got hurt and grazed my leg it felt like a bee sting.
Then it was time for dinner we had steak, and potato. It was so good it tasted like cottage pie
it was so good. Next we had dessert we had
cheese cake the tip of my tongue felt like water.

cross country
Cross Country
On Monday the 13 Haratua it was cross-country. I felt so nervous. They called the Year 5-6 group up. I was so scared but inside I knew I was going to make myself proud by completing it, even if I came last . My heart was pounding as loud as a helicopter.
Mr. Redman called 3... 2... 1 go. As I ran I remembered what Mailli told me, think of a song and don't give up. I listened to my chosen song in my head and it worked pretty good, but my heart kept pounding and pounding. I passed the a massive, powerful cheering crowd. They cheered me on, I felt so important and special. My breath was so loud. I passed the finish line and I was so puffed.
It was time for the results and I came in 12th place. I was so proud of myself. I felt empowered, he poho kereru ahau.. The first thing I said afterwards was I need a water. I went to class and got a bottle of water felt much better. I went to support my friends and then it was the end of the day. Finally time for home.
